The new TSL season is looking to kick off with some of the Oceania’s top footballers involved in it. The likes of Tommy Semmy for Malaita Kingz, Kensi Tangis for Solomon Warriors and now the arrival of Papua New Guinea’s leading midfielder, David Muta.
David Muta who is not a new face to Solomon Islands football has featured for Marist FC in the previous TSL season and was exceptional in the middle pack but now has signed for the new upcoming TSL underdogs, Henderson Eels. The Papua New Guinea international will be teaming up with his former Hekari United friends, Alick Maemae, Clifton Aumae and Tuti Zama in the new club’s attacking force.
Henderson Eels team management confirmed that Mr. Muta is expected to arrive in the country today and will be joining the team in their final preparation before the TSL season kicks off. Head coach, Chris Asipara has been conditioning the team with some friendly matches and he is already confident that his team will be a competitive team when the season starts. The TSL newcomers are confident to be competing against the top teams after a successful run in the HFA premier division as champions.
One of the Henderson Eels players to watch is the former international, Alick Maemae. Mr. Maemae who is dubbed as Mr. Cool in the Pacific is at his best form again and is looking to make an impression in the Henderson Eels campaign in the upcoming TSL season. Mr. Maemae who has some memorable combination with David Muta in the past will be looking to make another great memory with the Papua New Guinea international when the season kicks off.
The TSL season is scheduled to kick off later this month and all the clubs are fine tuning their squad now in preparation for this much-anticipated competition, where the Solomon Islands representatives will be decided to compete against the other top clubs in the Oceania.
