The high demand came few days after the important announcement of Elliot Ragomo as a professional Futsal player in Brazil’s top futsal league, setting a record for the first Oceania player to grace that league. In a short survey to ask some of the Futsal fans in Solomon Islands on the famous Facebook page ‘Latest Soccer News in Solomon Islands’, hundreds of supporters pour out their support towards Elliot and how they really wish that either Telekom or one of the companies and business homes would be able to sponsor the matches live on tv.

Elliot Ragomo who is a very passionate Solomon Islander showed the world that Solomon Islands got potential and can be just like the greats in the world especially in the game of Futsal. This has been the main reason behind such a vast big support from all the people. Many other Pacific countries including New Zealand also congratulated Elliot Ragomo for his hard work and courage to reach where he has reached and opening doors for many.

One of the most stressed points by the many Solomon Islands supporters is the fact that being able to watch Elliot on TV will motivate more young Solomon Islands, whether they’re in Futsal or not to be successful in their goals. Some of the comments issued by the social media supporters are;

It is good to be able to see Elliot’s games on TV. This because it will help motivate the young star to reach that level. A lot of Solomon Kids love to watch than reading about it in all different articles. Therefore, I really urge responsible and respective authorities to help and bring Elliot’s game on tv please”, said Derrick Lediomea

I really want Telekom or any business house to sponsor Elliot’s game. We need to support our hero and what a good way to support by watching him play”, Floyd Manata expressed.

I think giving an opportunity for young kids to watch Elliot will definitely be contributing to futsal development in Solomon Islands”, Donald Riropo said.

Mr. Ragomo collected the loose ball from his own half and ponder down the oppositions half and launched a powerful shot which eventually hit the back of the net and making Elliot’s debut a memorable one.

It is understood that Solomon Islands leading communication company, Telekom is likely the main company which everyone thinks of when it comes to the TV side of things. However, the cost of such privilege could be another issue. Therefore, the call from all Solomon Islands Futsal supporters is for business homes and companies to help in sponsoring Elliot Ragomo’s games to be televised on the TV.
